I have a report with a name field and two date fields. I am trying to create a formula where it will suppress the detail section if the name field and date1 field equals the name field and date2 field. I have tried converting the date field to text and then used:
({Table1.Name} & {Table1.Date_Volunteered}) = ({Table1.Name} & {Table1.Date_Cleared}) along with a few other variations but it didn't work. Any ideas

Thanks

If you are pulling all of the data from the same table (which is what your example looks like), you don't need to compare the name, just the dates. So try just

{Table1.Date_Volunteered} = {Table1.Date_Cleared}

Another thing you could do instead of suppressing sections is to use the Record Select to filter out the records completely - add the formula above to the formula in the Select Expert.
