You can't do this without having the field you're sorting by in the crosstab. However, if there's a direct relationship between the field you want to order by and the field you want to display, then you might try this:

- Use the field you want to order by in the crosstab.
- Right-click on that field in the cross-tab and go to Row Options >> Group Options.
- Go to the Options tab.
- Check "Customize Group Name Field".
- Select the field you want to use from the drop-down list.

This should give you the order you want while displaying the correct field.
