Hi,

I have data being returned in Details with Column Headers/Labels in the Group Header section.

If I don't get any data returned, I'd like to suppress the labels (group header section), and instead display some text "no data"

Not sure how to do this.

you would have to use a condition using a group summary evaluation on each field. Null and data types will play into how each one is done.
