I have a report that is calculating a grade point avg in a group footer. But, the person requesting the report wants the report sorted in descending order by grade point average. I can't see a way to do this and hope you can help.

if the group avg. is being produced by a simple summarization you can use group sorting. If teh avg. is being gotten via some other more convoluted process it cannot be used to sort and you would need to look at getting that value in your source (liek a stored proc) to use for group sorting.
Also conside that you may be able to mimic the actual avg reuslt with some other simple group summary and use that to sort on but still dsipaly your other value.
