Morning all,

Hope you all had a nice Christmas/New Year!

When creating Parameters in Crystal Reports I notice there are the following types of input choice:

1) Free text
2) List based

My question is regarding the possibility of refreshing the list on a scheduled basis to ensure all possibilities are available to the End User.

As I understand it you export the list once and it then becomes out of date once a Change is made to the Database (Addition, Removal, Modification).

you can make a static or dynamic list.
The static list you manually create the options and would need to choose to update the report to add new options.
IMO those are best for select options that are not data dependent but rather user design dependant, like choosing a sort order, or between pre-determined age range, etc.
Or you can use the dynamic option which will build the list dynaically based on the values in your data set. When your data set vlaues change then the pick list changes too.

Thank you :-) Is there a way to change the parameter so it isn't in pages and instead have it in one long list
