i am trying to create a report that shows all checks that DO NOT have a "recon" date, ONLY if there is NO "Void" date. When i use the formula below, i get all check with no recon date, but some have "void" dates. If i try the second formula, i get NO returns. can someone help?
1st:
isnull({RECON.ReconDate}) or
totext({RECON.ReconDate})="" or
{RECON.ReconDate}=Date(0000,00,00)
2nd:
isnull({RECON.ReconDate}) or
totext({RECON.ReconDate})="" or
{RECON.ReconDate}=Date(0000,00,00) and
isnull ({Checks.VoidDate}) or
totext({Checks.VoidDate})="" or
{Checks.VoidDate}=Date(0000,00,00)

Add some parenthesis around your statements.
(isnull({RECON.ReconDate}) or
totext({RECON.ReconDate})="" or
{RECON.ReconDate}=Date(0000,00,00)) and
(isnull ({Checks.VoidDate}) or
totext({Checks.VoidDate})="" or
{Checks.VoidDate}=Date(0000,00,00))
