	Hello All, I'm quite new to Crystal Reports. Can someone tell me as to why val() of a string with a value "24 hrs" returns a value of 24 but for a string "<= 24 hrs. " returns a value of 0? Thank you in advance for your help.

	If I recall correctly, val will only work 'correctly' if the string begins with a numeric.
