I inserted a running total in the group footer but the it only shows the one line of multiple. Any Ideas.

Here is example
17100.00
4000.00
300.00
2000.00

Group footer  Running total shows
17100.00

It does not total the other numbers.

Thanks

is this shared variable formula you are calling a running total or is it a Crystal Running Total that you created using the running totals in the Field Explorer?

No shared variable. Its a true running total.
The report has 8 groups

it is most likeley either your evaulate or your reset

in general your evaluate will be for each record (unless you have dupes you are dealing with)
the reset in this case would generally be on change of group and then select the group name of the group footer you are displaying it in.

what are both of those set to?

I am dealing with dupes.

I couldn't do with each record the total didn't work. I evaluate with group its displaying in and resets with the same group.

It is the evaluate

So clearly I can't see your data set or report so this is a guess.
Usually dupes are created by a required join.
Usually in each table in the join there is a Primary key or seeded field that is a unique value for each row in that table.
Change your evaluate on to use the 'correct' primary key field
You do not need to display it in the report to use it.
You can display it in the details temporarily to 'see' what you are doing or if it is the 'correct' value to use as your evalaute condition then remove it or hide it for your final report.

If this does not resolve it for you please post some sample data to see if there is another solution.
