Hi All.

I am having a small issue with a report that contains multiple sub reports.

Each report is broken down into multiple group headers and then 1 detail section. In each Group header will be a text box followed by a data field or a formula field.

If I am using just that it all works fine.

The problem I am having is when I try to use a formula in and replace the text box. The formula is looking at another table for an override option and if it exists it shows the override instead. This works ok when there is only 1 override in that table, but there is normally more than 1 for other text fields that can be overridden.

The 1st text box on its own would say 'Frequency'

the next section may say 'Tolerance'

Both of these are field names.

In the override table you will have 2 fields, the 1st that says ' Frequency' and the 2nd that will contain the override text of say 'Freq. Paramater'. If there is an entry in this table for frequency then we want it to show instead of the default heading.

The reports seems ok until I put a second row in that override table and then everything starts to duplicate.

Hope this is clear enough and would appreciate any advice.

Not really following your post but keep in mind that crystal does not enforce joins on tables unless you use fields from both tables that are joined or you explicitly enforce it in the join set up.
Therefore, you will often will see your data set change when you drag a field into the report or use it in a formula if that is the first field used from a table.

I think what is happening is this.

We are trying to have a formula in a GH that changes based on content in a table. If there is only one entry in that table for one GH then all is fine. The problem seems to be when there are multilple entries in the 'Override' table for more than one GH. They then duplicate.

What I am after is some sort of way of only looking at specific entries in that table when there are more than one entry.
