I´m trying to create a Report with a lot of Fields.

I´ve some fields they could be empty. I´ve suppressed these fields with the formula. The Problem is how can ic change the y-Position of the next field.

Currently i have a empty field in my Report an that looks not so good.

I´ve seen it is possible in formula editor to change the x-Position of a field.

Can i do this with the y-Position too?

Regards

Thomas

I do not believe you can.
however, the same end result is usually done by placing the fields on separate detail rows (detail a, detail b, ...) and then suppressing the respective detail section conditionally

Hi,

thank you for this fast answer.

The Problem is i´ve a lot of IFieldObjects and can´t place every Object in a separate detail.

The only thing that i can do is to create a FormularField with isnull
see code:

if (isnull({Aussonderung.aBerFirma}) and isnull({Aussonderung.aBerFirmaZ})) then
{Aussonderung.aBerFirma} + ChrW(13) +
{Aussonderung.aBerFirmaZ} + ChrW(13) +
{Aussonderung.aBerName} + ChrW(13) +
{Aussonderung.aBerAdresse} + ChrW(13) +
{Aussonderung.aBerPlz} & " " & {Aussonderung.aBerOrt}
else if (isnull({Aussonderung.aBerFirmaZ}) and isnull({Aussonderung.aBerName})) then
{Aussonderung.aBerFirma} + ChrW(13) +
{Aussonderung.aBerAdresse} + ChrW(13) +
{Aussonderung.aBerPlz} & " " & {Aussonderung.aBerOrt}
else if (isnull({Aussonderung.aBerFirmaZ})) then
{Aussonderung.aBerFirma} + ChrW(13) +
{Aussonderung.aBerName} + ChrW(13) +
{Aussonderung.aBerAdresse} + ChrW(13) +
{Aussonderung.aBerPlz} & " " & {Aussonderung.aBerOrt}
else if (isnull({Aussonderung.aBerName})) then
{Aussonderung.aBerFirma} + ChrW(13) +
{Aussonderung.aBerFirmaZ} + ChrW(13) +
{Aussonderung.aBerAdresse} + ChrW(13) +
{Aussonderung.aBerPlz} & " " & {Aussonderung.aBerOrt}

And the i place the Formular Field inside of the section a,b and so on.

couple of options come to mind.
you can drag and drop each of the fields into a text object field and use the format option of it to set 'suppress embedded field blank lines' as true

or change your code to conditionally add your chr(13) on each field

(if {Aussonderung.aBerFirma}="" then "" else  + {Aussonderung.aBerFirma} +ChrW(13))
+
(if {Aussonderung.aBerFirmaZ}="" then "" else {Aussonderung.aBerFirmaZ} + ChrW(13))
 +
...
