The Crystal Report XI does not provide the option 'Microsoft Word for Windows' during Export as was provided in version 10. The given options export the report in rtf format where the report is in non editable format and the formatting is not preserved during export. Can this problem be solved by copying dlls for "Microsoft word for Windows' in system32 folder. If yes, can i get the name of those dlls. Or, if anyone has better solution of the problem or knows about any third party component to accomplish the needful, please provide the information to me.

There are two export options you could use: "MS Word" and "MS Word-Editable RTF". As you said, the RTF export doesn't preserve formatting. However the plain "MS Word" export does preserve formatting. If you don't have this options, then run the install again and make sure the options are checked to install them. If you do have the MS Word option and the format is not to your liking, then I don't know of a way around it.

Please look again at your export options. I just tested the export for 2 options that Crystal XI offered me: 1) Microsoft Word (rtf); and 2) Microsoft Word - Editable (rtf). While both exports allowed me to make changes and seemed to maintain my formatting, option 2 above (editable) allowed me to edit the document just like any Word document.

The export into the rtf that did not specify editable entered all of the data into separate cells or tables. While I could edit any particular cell, I do not have the freedom to move a cell around or edit freely as in Word.
