How does one format the cells in Crystal to out put a fixed length for example

cell one start at postion 1 and has a length of 6
Cell two starts at postion 7 and has a length of 1
cell 3 starts at postion 8 and has a lenght of 8  ECT

so I want my cells to be a fixed length and start in certain postions.

Thanks

If the field is not a sting, first convert it to a string, then you can do the following: {somefield}&space(5-lenght({somefield}).  If the field can be null or empty, you may need an if statement to 'fill' the space (if len({somefield}) then space(5)).

I hope this helps.
