Hi

We currently have a process that we use to print cheques for a client.

I have been asked if I can find a way that the printing team can enter the 1st cheque number of the batch prior to printing and this then populates the relevant table in SQL - as well as printing this number on the cheque itself (for some reason having just the pre-printed number at the foot of the cheque isnt good enough for the banks..)

Thanks in advance
Glyn

using a stored procedure, you could set a parameter for the first number to be printed. The store proc could do all the updating of tables and just return a recordset of checks to be printed.
