I am trying to sum all entries that share a key. 
 
In my data base the available quantities for sale are sperated out by when they were purchased to account for price cahanges. 
 
my data looks as follows  
 
Key      QTY
138       11
138       11
138       13
 
 
Total for key 138 = 35 
 
what formual would I use to total all quantities by key?

Hi,
 
As per my understanding you want to sum the quantities by each key. If yes then
* Create a group on key field and then write a fromula as
sum(QTY,Key)
* place the above formula in report
* and suppress Groupheader and Group footer section.
