I have a simple question: Is possible to save somehow data returned from a query and then later use in teh Formula Expert. My idea is to write simple queries like SELECT * FROM table_name and than later on process this data in the Crystal environment!

Is it possible somehow?
Thanks Luka

Crystal command?! My idea is to read data from DB (using a simle query) and instead of complicating a query (which must be compatibile in Oracle and SQL server)really write a simple SELECT and save the returned data in a Crystal structure/memory and than later prepare/sort/modifiy my "simple" data in Formula Editor and only then display the data onto a report!

I'm I clear enough?

you can "save data" with a report by setting that as an option in your report set up. However it will refresh the data when it is rerun so if your source has changed it will update the data in the report. Crystal is not a repository for data, it is used to display data only.

Aha OK I got it this "save data". Also reflects the file size when you save the report. This are only displayed data.

But yeah "Crystal is not a repository for data, it is used to display data only" are the words which I don't wanted to hear... but I will try to speak with my boss 4 another solution...

Thanks for your anwsers DBlank
