hello everyone, I have a report where I need to order for "expiration date" records

Structure Report:
heading
details A: customer code
details B: item number / expiration date
footer

I ordered with "record sort expert" and "expert group"
but when I do, it put before all records of details b
and then all records in details

here is the result:
-----------------
item number / expiration date 1
item number / expiration date 2
item number / expiration date 3

customer number 1
customer number 2
customer number 3
----------------

I would need instead it put in this way:
----------------
customer number 1
item number / expiration date 1

customer number 2
item number / expiration date 2

customer number 3
item number / expiration date 3
-----------------

someone can help me
hello thanks to all

Hi,

Instead of using two details sections, Use single details section.
Expand the Details section size and place the Customer number. then below the Customer number, place the Item number field.
Try this one, it may help you..

Seems a silly question, but do you have a group set for the customer? It seems from the sample output that you want to group the customer, and place items with expiration dates that belong to the customer below that.

If you don't want to group, as the title suggests, then you have probably already done everything that CR will let you on just straight sorting.

I was surprised to see that CR displayed detail B before detail A. This implies to me that when there is a value in detail B, there is no value in detail A, which is why it sorts first, and since you don't get the output that is expected, I would also suspect that when there is a value in detail A, detail B is blank...so it might be more than grouping issue

It might be a data issue

Just a thought
