Question..

Table1
person id
Gift Date
Gift Amt

I went to display the last two records for each person..
So Max gift date and the second to max gift date.

Any ideas?

one way
sort on the date field
do a count of any non null field at the group level
insert a running total as a count of the same field with a reset on the group level
use these 2 items together in a suppresion formula in the section expert under the detail section
count(field,group)-{#RunningTotal}>2
