i'm not able to add a new column to cross tab. i have a nice cross tab currently but i need two more columns with just text at the top and filled in with the data inside the table.

has anyone else been able to do this using the cross tab expert?

any help is appreciated.

Hi

You said you are not able to add one more field in your cross tab through cross tab expert ? means you are not finding this field while you are in cross tab expert ? or

You are not seeing the results in a desired format ? if you are able to see one below the other then it is just because, cross tab will treat each column or row as group, so when you add one more new field in columns it will insert a group below your first field
Thanks,
Sastry

well, when i add the new column(header) text it spans the entire top of the columns instead of just being a new column like the other columns.

currently my cross tab looks like this :
            job code
name    mode of {job skill}

this looks great however what i'm looking to do is something like this

         | salary   | empType | job Code
name| $salary |empType  | mode of {job skill}

i was able to force new columns by making dummy columns. i have all the data that i want and it looks ok i just cannot resize the "total" cell to match the size of the other column headers.
