Hello, Ii'm using Crystal Reports 8.5 and I wanted to get the sum of these records and sort their total by currency. Any suggestion? Thanks. :)

Sample Data
Currency AMOUNT

IDR 100.00

PHP 0.00

USD 150.00

IDR 50.00

-----------------------------
Expected output:
TOTAL (IDR) 150.00
TOTAL (USD) 150.00

TOTAL (IDR) and TOTAL (USD) should be placed in the footer.

Group by currency. Then use a running total to get your amounts, where you say change by group {currency} and reset by group {currency}

Thanks Gurbs! Here is the output after grouping by currency and creating a running total.

I wanted to have a grand total like this:

TOTAL (IDR) 150.00
TOTAL (USD) 150.00

Here are the files. Crystal Report Files

Thank you in advance! :)

If you really want it to say it like that, you could play around a little bit. You should place the running total in the group footer. Then you could suppress the group header and detail section.

If you really want the text to say "TOTAL (CURRENCY) (AMOUNT)", then you could create a little text block with the text "TOTAL (", then your currency field, the text ") " and then the running total.

Finally, if you don't want to show currencies that have a total value of 0, you could suppress your group footer <= 0.

Thanks Gurbs. Using the same report, I wanted to place the total per currency in the Grand Total. Any idea on how will I do it?
