does anyone know if i can use currentdate plus and minus 1 day for a record selection formula?

i'm currently using currentdate minus 12 hours but i'm not getting all the records that i need.

any help would be awesome!

table.datefield in dateadd('d',-1,currentdate) to dateadd('d',1,currentdate)

sometimes using a datediff can be easier if you are having trouble with a db field that is date and time
