hi all

i have a simple formula that will not give the desired output when in the page footer

if {STOCK_CODE} in ("301258""301263""201236""301378")
then "message 1"
else "message 2"

it returns with message 2 despite the criteria being met, as soon as i move the formula to a detail or group header it behaves correctly!

anyone any ideas? i have formulas in other report page footers and they work fine!

when you put it in the footer it is looking at the value in the last detail row of that specific page.
do you mean that you want to show message 1 or 2 based on if that page has any row that meets the above condition?
if so use shared variable formulas.
