Hi all experts,

I have one report with format like this.

Group 1
G001_______________100$
G002_______________200$
G003_______________50$
Total_______________800$
For one above,i use group and use Running Total for Total Price.
and next page
I don't know how to do it.
G001___________________________
I001-------------------------50$
i002--------------------------30$
I003--------------------------20$
G002___________________________
I004--------------------------40$
I005--------------------------60$
I006--------------------------70$
I007--------------------------30$
And.....

Does anybody know how to do this report format?

Thanks

well the first page looks like you would only be displaying the summary values of the group 1 field.

the second page is either the detail of the group1 or another summary of a grouping inside of group1.

if you want to display both in the same report, one is going to need to be a subreport. CR only reads the data once per report, so it won't go through and read the data again...but a subreport is a 'new' report and CR will the data again.

This is why subreports can degrade the performance of a report...but sometimes they are the only solution.

Hi Lockwelle,

Thanks for your reply. i also create subreport and link to this report.
but i have one problem coz the page header of Summery Group (First Group)
will display at SubReport Page. So it make my report messy.
i want to capture the event when the SubReport load. but i don't know how to do this. If i can capture the event of Subreport, I can suppress Page Header of First Page.

Do you have any idea about how to capture subreport events?

Thanks
