Hi all,
I have a formula that gives me a date diff that is working well. Now I am attempting to get a grand total for this field with the following formula:

whileprintingrecords;
local numbervar Sumdatediff;
Sumdatediff :=sumdatediff + sum({@datediff})

The above is giving me an error that this field cannot be summarized?

Any idea as to what might be going on.

Thanks for your help

Hi Brent,
What is the field you would like to summarize?

Try Insert > Summary > choose field to summarize > Summary location Grand Total (Report Footer)

I've had this error before when attempting to summarize. Crystal won't allow the formula to refer to itself as the argument to a function: sumdatediff:sumdatediff.
