Can anyone tell me why I would see group information on the preview pane in CR but it's missing from the report?
 
Would it most likely be a grouping problem? I can see the groups in the pane but they are nowhere to be found on the report.

Yes - but I had some strange record select thing going on.... It's fixed.

FYI-as an explanation,

if you use group select criteria the group will appear in the group pane but not the body of the report.

It has to do with the sequence crystal uses.
First the record level data set is created
then grouping and group level summary data can be applied created
then another pass on that data can apply group level selection criteria.
 
To get it to display the data just remove the group selection criteria.
