	does this formula IsNull({imageField}) works in the selection expert for supressing the entire section? Thanks

	I'm not entirely sure what you mean by 'section' if you're referring to the 'Details' band, do the suppression there if you don't want to see it in the result set.

	yes the detail band. but how to check if the image field is empty/nothing?

	I would use isnull myself, but never done this
