Hi,

Is possible to pass a parameter value into another parameter in same report?

Thanks

Hmmm, not sure your goal with this, you could surely save the parameter to a shared variable within a function. Not sure why you would want to apply (pass) a parameter to another parameter, it defeats the purpose of it actually being a parameter of the report.

Or is the second parameter in a subreport?  If that's the case, you can use subreport links to pass the value to the subreport.

Hi,

I have the same type of question.  I want to have the first parameter be the letters in the alphabet, then when a letter is chosen have the list of agency names befinning with that letter be returned for selection by the user.

To do that, you'll need to set up a "Cascading Dynamic Prompt".  If you're working from tables, create a SQL Expression that returns the first letter of the agency name.  If you're using a command, add an item to your select statement that returns the first letter.  Then create a cascading prompt that uses the initial and then uses the full agency name.
