Hi,
   I am learning Crystal Reports and got the following requirement. I need group total for each record.   Please help me.

             Record1                   Record2
============================================
Group 1
          Test1         5                              7
          Test2         3                              4
          Test3         6                              6
Group 2
          Test1         2                              8
          Test2         4                              9
          Test3         7                              3
==================================
         Test1         7                            15
         Test2          7                            13
         Test3         13                             9

How can I get the above output? Tried to do Running total but adding all records.

Now I need seperate totals of Test1,Test2 and Test3

first, is TEST1 an field/record in table?

if so, group on that field, and sum based on that group and reset it after group change

TEST1 is just a Text field object. It is just the text to that row. the data comes database.

you would have to use 3 running totals, each with an evaluate formula to only look at items where your type = "Test x"

or use a crosstab
