Ok so I have a report split into groups by employee grade. Each employee grade has a different midpoint. How do I specify in a formula that I want to divide the employee midpoint from one group by the employee midpoint of another group. Been annoying me for a few days.

Thanks

Group-Grade

   11
           500
   12
           600

The 11 and 12 are in the group "Grade" i would like to be able to divide 500/600 using a forumla.
Thanks

Hi
Create a formula to store previous mid point like :

Whileprintingrecords;
numbervar Pmid;
Pmid:={gorupMidValue}

Place the above formula in your group footer and divide with your next mid point.

Still you need some help send a sample report on sastrydsvs(at)gmail(dot)com

Thanks,

Sorry i wasnt clear enough, realistically it is more like:

Group-Grade

   11
           500
   12
           600
   13
            700
   14
          300

And i would need to divide 600/500, 700/600 and 300/700.
So as there are more than two records im presuming the method you suggested wouldnt work? Sorry. Any other suggestions? Thanks
