Topic: Need Borders always on

I formatted alot of formulas and put borders around them all for an X to show.
However, only the ones that were selected with the formula shows the borders.
I need all the borders to show, whether X shows or not.
Is this possible? I'm a newbie here.

Have the formula that sets the "X" return a single space (" ") in an "else" clause. Something like this:
If <condition> then "X" else " "
