Does anyone use Investran along with Crystal? I have a quick question in regards to parameters if you do...

When I have a report with a subreport, it prompts me through OLE DB about parameters. I know that somehow you can use the main reports parameters so that you don't have to refresh the param's every time you run the report.

Does anyone have insight on this?

Thanks,
Brandon

Here's how you set that up in the report:

1.  Make sure that the main report contains the parameters that you want.
2.  Right-click on the subreport and select "Change Subreport Links..."
3.  In the top-left, select the field or parameter you want to use to filter the subreport and move it to the top-right, then select it in the top-right.
4.  If you want to connect the value in the main report to a field in the subreport, select the field in the drop-down in the bottom-right.
5.  If you want to connect the value in the main report to a parameter in the subreport, turn off "Select data in subreport based on field" and select the parameter in the drop-down in the bottom-left.

Repeat these steps for each parameter or field that you want to link.
