I'm trying to write a report that, when run, allows the user to choose a specific week to retrieve the data from.

I'd rather not have to manually write the date ranges into parameter description fields and then write a 52 line IF statement.
 
I need a way:
- to select records based upon the week number
- display the date ranges in a parameter pick list
- display the date range on the report

what do you mean display the date ranges in the param?
Do you want the user to just enter the week number or does the user select from a LOV of the begin and end date?
Does your data have a row for every day of the year so you can use it as your lov?
are you only concerend with the current year or can a user look at past years weeks?
