So on this report we would like to it to promt for a data range when refreshing the data, we would like to be able to pick from say the 1st of the month and the last of the month, how would i go about setting this up. any help would be great. {calibration.duedate} is the field im working with.

Hi
 
1. In the field explorer go in Parameters section and create a new paramter of
    date type, while creating you could see Option in the same screen.. make
     Range value to true.
 
2. Once you create the paramtertr, go in Report-- Selection Formula--Record and give the following condition.
 
{calibration.duedate} >= {?Parameter} and {calibration.duedate} <= {?Parameter}
 
Your report will get filtered based on range values

my next question is how do i sort this by groups as well, the clients are sorted in to groups, when i put a date range it is showing me all data but i want to show the individual clients for the date range selected, if this is possible.

Create a formula like :
IF {?dateparameter} >= {datefield} and {?dateparameter} <={datefield} then "MYGROUP"
 
Now go in insert group-- insert the above formula as your gorup.

Thank you again, but is seems to be giving me dates past what i have specified in the parameter prompts, what can i do to fix this?
