You may have to set this up in two subreports - one for each part. Put them next to each other in a header section (Report or Group, NOT Page!). To get the underlines, in the subreport, draw a line at the bottom of each section that has data in it. The subreports themselves automatically have boxes around them. To get the box around both, in your main report draw a box from the top of the two subreports to top of the next section in the report. This way the box will expand to the size of the subreports. -Dell

hilfy very very thanks !!!! your are very quick and nice ! dear hilfy i have some problem's : i
add my filed by data set : when i go : insert menu --> sub report
_> create sub report wizard : = new a name : i click report wizard
i select data set i see a problem ! see picture = http://inspic.com/1BE59AA0 also i make data set in vs 2010 and it is in crystal report 2011 - i do this : o can i give a project sub reports !!

A subreport is inside a main report - you don't create them separately. Each subreport has its own connection to a dataset - they don't run off the data in the main report. So, your picture is not showing me anything I don't expect to see. -Dell

How to create a data set with Sub Report?
i use data set for data connection ! and when click insert sub report it is disable ... !
How i do this !

One option you could try would be to create a new report that has your Section1 data and one that has your Section 2 data. DO NOT use the page header/footer sections as they will not import correctly. Also, do not include these in your project. Now create a new blank report. Add two subreports - basing each on one of the reports you just created (you should have the option to load from file instead of creating the subreport from scratch). Then, if you need data from your data set in the main report, try adding the DataSet there. -Dell

Hello : Dear hilfy : I finally succeeded make sub report ! i add my data by data set for each part ( part 1 & part 2 ) i
save them and make main report : and by insert menu ->sub report
-> chose an existing report -> insert my sub report for part's !!! And Now i have new Question »:
The report will be run : when The mouse cursor go Section of sub report the form change to Hand's : and if click this area open in new section !
How i Can disable it ! [ Disable changing mouse cursor and etc .... ]

What are you using to view the report? If you're just viewing it in Crystal, what will your users be using to view it? -Dell

hello :  i made my report by crystal report 2011 :and at programing : i use crystalreportviewer : for show report in my application : and this case : that my report contain sub report : when run : can click each sun report ( like " a link) that show in new Separate panel !  i want disable it  ! thanks !

I don't know for sure whether this will work, but try turning off "Enable Drill Down" in the viewer. _Dell
