Hi again. i have a subreport which expands horizontally, and on its own it exports fine to pdf(anyting past the page on the right goes onto a new sheet) however, when this report is used as a sub report it just cuts off the extra infho. can anyone offer any advice please? Thanks. paul

Hi Paul,
 
--I think you are using cross tab in that report. when you export that report into PDF it will Identify the next page and it will printed that report in the Next page of PDF defaultly.
 
--When use that report as sub report, then the main report treated that sub report as a single object and it will try to print that whole sub report at a time.
 
--Change the report in to Landscope mode and you need to increase the horizontal  report size manually based on the number of horizontal columns.

Thank you naga, you are spot on, however when i tried to landscape this earlier (i am in the uk) it could not do it because of the height of the report (was set up originally as portrait because of the number of rows) and was giving me some sort of error msg. The number of columns fluctuates depending upon the number of individusls i am reporting on ( based on centre occupancy). Some cases it is fine others i have this problem.
do you hsve any other suggestions or workarounds pls? Thanks, paul
