Crystal Reports and Forms Developer

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Crystal Reports Developer to work closely with other developers and end users to define requirements and create / amend ad-hoc and static reports as required. Candidates should possess the following skills and abilities:

• A minimum of 1 (preferably 2) years development experience with Crystal Reports (ver. 10+)
• Proven development skills with SQL (SQLServer and/or Oracle)
• Experience writing SQL stored procedures (a plus)
• Act as a resource for various project teams
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Experience with Adobe Output Designer (formerly JetForms) would be a big plus
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience working with end users
• Strong initiative

Position is located at the company’s headquarters in Duluth, Georgia.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

• Direct interaction with fulfillment, client services and client personnel for documentation of reporting or forms requirements.
• Development of Crystal Reports.
• Maintenance and support of Crystal Reports server.
• Maintenance and support of JetForms environment.
• Direct interaction with requestors to ensure original requirements are met and that the resulting Crystal Report or JetForm functions correctly.
• Actively work on upgrading existing platforms to latest versions.
• Cross train in other technical areas of interest to act as backup support for other team members.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of one year’s experience in Crystal Forms and/or JetForms.
• Minimum of one year’s experience with Oracle or Microsoft SQL server.
• Strong desire to learn new systems architecture
• Technical client server database experience
• In depth understanding of small parcel fulfillment operations
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must to accurately convey fulfillment center requirements to the software development team
• On call availability to assist with off shift support when required

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Associate’s degree in Computer Science or related field and one to three years job related experience.   Computer related certifications are a plus.  Allowances for specifically relevant experience may be made for those without a degree or certifications.
