Folks,
  I have a number of XML data files to be used as source data files for some new crystal report files.  I have imported the xml and started building the report layouts.

However when I create a 2 groupings on the first two columns there are some NULLS due to the fact the XML files are created in Oracle 11g using a Select with rollups...  The rollups allow grouping in the query and produce the proper data..

Is there anyway in Crystal to have it deal with the NULLS to allow the rows to be ordered properly?

Thank you,

you could have CR replace the nulls with a 0 (zero) in the report options.
you could also create a formula the replaces the nulls with whatever value you want, and then group by the formula...like;
if isnull({tble.field}) then
  42  //random number
else
  {tble.field}

Not workable since then the values would NOT group properly.. Arrrrrrr.. This is So annoying how this is being implemented..

WE are taking data from an Oracle database, through an Application Express (APEX) application, generateing an XML file (which has ALL values converted to text) and trying to build reports of of this...

What we had is a query that is using Oracle analytic functions to produce the sub totals and grand totals.  This data was being posted to an XML file for processing via Crystal.  Hence Crystal wants to do its own grouping...

Thank you,
