Hi,
this is for Crystal XI
I have formula fields in sub report that are declared as shared variables and printed in main report.
Main-report is grouped by project code, and in each project(group) i'm doing different kind of computing where some of the values in the formula are in main report, and some values comes from subreports. Just doing Sum in each gruop does not give me any problem.
But then I want to do the grand total for all the projects and need to sum the sum/project Crystal tells me that im not allowed to sum this field. The sum/project is a formula field.   Any one?

You would have to 'manually' sum using shared variables.  It is a nuisance, but it is the only way I know around this issue.

That or just do a grand total - do a sum at the report level of the same things that you're summing at the group level rather than trying to sum the group sums.
