I have a report that gives the user the option of choosing 1 record per page or 4 records per page. I have 2 separate page footers for each of these that are not the same size. When I run a report for 4 per page I can only get 3 per page because even though the larger page footer is suppressed it still takes place on the report. Any solutions out there?

thank you

What are your margins in the page setup?  That may have an effect on what you're seeing.

How are you suppressing the page footer?  What is the formula that you're using?

My margins are .25 inches I have every section calculated to the inch so that they all ad up to 8.5 inches including margins.

I have Page Footer a programmed to suppress if {?Properties per Page} <> '1' and
Page Footer b programmed to suppress if {?Properties per Page} = '1'

However, that doesn't necessarily take into account the amount of "unprintable" space that is required by the printer.  I would try turning on "No Printer (optimize for screen display)" in the Page Setup.  You could also play with the "Dissociate Formatting Page Size and Printer Paper Size" setting to see whether that helps.

I realized that the problem is probably that I can't remove the Keep Together option for page footers. Is there a way around that?
