I am new to crystal reports and our company wants me to pull specific fields out of our Epicor Vantage software. Here is what I am experiencing...

Lets say i pull the table JobOper and inside that table i pull the fields part number and due date. then i generate a report for all parts due next week.  The report looks pretty normal, its  about a page long.

This is where I am having trouble...

If i pull the same fields from two different tables like in table JobOper i pull part number and in table JobHead i pull due date. I still apply the same filter fields and generate the report. instead of getting that one page i get THOUSANDS of pages!
WHY!?!?!?!?!?

hopefully there is a crystal reports master that can help me out. Ouch

most likely you did not join the tables so you are getting a cartesian result
