Hello,

I have two item codes, one is 1111 the other is 1111R. They are related but used in different sections. Within our inventory process we want to use those part codes as one to determine stock out. These items are located across dozens on locations. In my report I group by Item to sum the totals.

So my question is, does anyone know how to "formulize" the group or the record selector to treat these two items as one as I group them and count..

All help is appreciated... THANKS in advance

Left({code},4) as a formula for the group.

If it is only with these 2 cases where you want to combine them, and there are more cases like this, you could create a formula like

if {code} = '1111' then '1111'
else if {code} = '1111R' then '1111'
else {code}
