Hi all,

I have a problem, and I don't even know if this is possible to fix.

I created a report for a bank. I need to export this every week to a textfile like format, and send it to them. But now, they are complaining the file has a .txt extension. Is it possible to export it to something like a textfile, without the .txt extionsion?

Thanks in advance.

Kind regards,

Gerben

The .txt file extension means it is already in a text file format. Any word processor should be able to open it.

Yes I know. Problem is, that it needs to be in something like a text file, but without the extension. The bank is loading the file directly into the system, but the system doesn't like the .txt extension. Again, don't know if it's possible

It has to have some extension so a computer knows how to treat it and what program it needs to use to open it with. You need to find out what types of files their system is happy with and then you can go from there to find out what to convert it to to make them happy.

Have you tried exporting as a .pdf ?

What about saving it as a .csv?

I'd try exporting as excel as most programs that import data this way do like excel but at this point until he finds out what type of file the banks program likes .csv is as good as any other.
