Hi,

I have a report that asks 10 questions before it runs to complete an "additional comments" section at the bottom of the report. These questions are string value parameter fields.

If a question is left blank it means i do not need this to show in the "additional comments". so for example question 1 and 10 are answered i will have 8 blank lines in between.

To combat this i've tried to use one formula field instead of adding in all the 10 parameter fields directly into the reprot. i've not managed to come up with the correct syntax to make this formula field display just the questions that have been answered as it keeps giving me varying results.

Any ideas on where i can start ?

Thanks a lot

Rob

not following exactly. Maybe this...
Usually you can just insert a text field, drag and drop the fields (params) you want into it with carriage returns between them.
right click on the text field
format text
common tab
set "Suppress Embedded Field Blank lines" = True (checked)
