Hello all,

My company runs a QA database that generates reports using Crystal Reports (Crystal XI Release 2 is deployed company-wide).  Whenever someone on a Windows 7 64-bit computer attempts to run a report from the database, they get an error message (see sample below):

"Unhandled exception has occurred in your application....

Could not load file or assembly 'CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.Version=13.0.2000.0 Culture=neutral. PublicKeyToken=692fbea5521e1304' or one of its dependencies.  The system cannot find the file specified"

Full text of the error is below:

WRN: Assembly binding logging is turned OFF.

To enable assembly bind failure logging, set the registry value [HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Fusion!EnableLog] (DWORD) to 1.

Note: There is some performance penalty associated with assembly bind failure logging.

To turn this feature off, remove the registry value [HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Fusion!EnableLog].

************** JIT Debugging **************

To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this

application or computer (machine.config) must have the

jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.

The application must also be compiled with debugging

enabled.

For example:

<configuration>

    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />

</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception

will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer

rather than be handled by this dialog box.

The database reports run fine on 32-bit systems (both XP and windows 7).  Any thoughts?

we upgraded to CR 2008 when one of our clients went to Windows 7 as we found that CR XI was incompatible with Windows 7.

I don't know if it was 64 or 32 bit copy of windows, but after the upgrade we haven't had any issues.
