I am trying to right a suppression formula, the formla is;
 
Suppress:
if {AR_InvoiceHistoryDetail.ItemCode}="/10GOLDPORT" and if InStr({AR_InvoiceHistoryHeader.UDF_LICENSE_ACTION},"RENEW")
 
What i am trying to is, suppress any files that item number =/10GOLDPORT and the License Action contains the word RENEW.  would the above isn't working and I am not sure what's missing.

suppression is just a boolean result so no if-then is needed
Drop the IFs and add the intr() requirement...
 
{AR_InvoiceHistoryDetail.ItemCode}="/10GOLDPORT" and InStr({AR_InvoiceHistoryHeader.UDF_LICENSE_ACTION},"RENEW")>0
