Hello, can somebody please help me.
I am using the SUM function in Crystal reports 10 on a column.
When I enter a date range for the report to print it Sum's the total records from the start to the end instead of just the records within the date range.

Do you still want all rows in your data set to be int he report or do you want to limit the data set in the report to the paramaters entered.
if you want to limit the dataset then use the params in your select statement. This will in turn adjust your sums.
//example select statement
table.datefield in ?startdate to ?enddate

if you do not want to use hte select expert you can use shared variables or Running Totals to conditionally sum
Running total
name=whaterve
field to summarize = field in column 10
type=sum
evalaute = use a formula
table.datefield in ?startdate to ?enddate
reset =never (unless you need sub totals at a group level)
place in report footer (or group footer if group reset is happening)
