Fist make sure that you header text formula or whatever is either in the report header or a page header. If what you want to display is in a group header then it will repeat.

Then go File > Export > Export Report
Use;
Format: Microsoft Excel (97-2003) Data Only

Excel Format: "Custom: Data is exported according to selected options"

Then only have these two boxes checked at the bottom of the "Excel Format Options"
"Export Object Formatting"
&
"Export page headers and page footer."

A couple of tips when formatting for excel. Have a blank header between the "header" section and your data. Your data header and data should all be the same width and line up, this makes things a lot easier for the export to come out looking decent.
