hello,

in purchase order, i want to pass date range parameter. For eg .
I want to fetch data from 21/11/2011 to 25/11/2011
how to pass parameter for this?? or do i need to create any formula??
if yes then how/???????

Create a date parameter and set it to handle Range of Values. Then you would need to go to the Report>Selection Formulas>Record. You would then enter something like:

{table.datefield}={?DateParam}

When you refresh the report data you will be asked to enter your parameter values.

that's new and something to remember.
 
I probably would have gone the more traditional route of a startParam and endParam and in the selection formula used something like:
{table.field} in {?startParam} to {?endParam}
 
or
 
{table.field} >= {?startParam} and {table.field}<= {?endParam}
 
One the other hand, I mostly use stored proc, so CR would have created 2 params to map to the 2 params in the stored proc.
