Hi All,

I have a mainreport (with group headers) and 1 sub-report.

How can I look up for a value in the sub-report and bring this back on the main-report?

example:
Report Header :subreport A
                                     FIELD Y    FIELD Z
                                         AAA      TEST 1
                                         BBB      TEST 2
                                         CCC      TEST 3
                                         DDD      TEST 4

MainReport
Group Header FIELDX: VALUE FIELD Y      ( formula?)
                                        CCC                   TEST 3
sub-report is located in the mainreport:  report header and suppressed.
sub-report contains distinct records (selections made by select expert) , so every value can have only 1 record.

regards,
Memoli

i wanted to link subreport to the main report and use it like a table.
i didn't find a crystal solution for that, had to use a stored procedure.

hi,
just found a simple solution for it.
did some tests with a couple of reports.

you can place your sub-report in every section of the main-report.

so, i linked the sub-report with the main report and put it in the detail section of the main report.
I adjusted the sub-report layout just to show the single record i want to see and suppressed the other sections of the sub-report.

you can also place it in group headers etc of the mainreport.

can you tell me how stored procedure is working?..how can i create it?

regards
