	It appears that your datatype is a string (not a number). You may want to try WHERE TRIM(GRPTAB_ORDER) ='2'; OR WHERE TONUMBER(GRPTAB_ORDER) = 2;

	i also considered a trim function except for the fact that the SQL when run in the DB returns the expected results and in crystal does not. The sql run would have had the same problem ast eh crystal with fields that had spaces in them (' 2 ' vs. '2').
