Topic: Is is possible to "Autosize" a sub-report? Posted: 27 Sep 2011 at 12:26am |
|
I have a report, which includes a number of sub-reports in the "Report
footer".
The problem I have is that the sub reports vary in size from
month to month & in a month where there is more data, the text appear on top
of the second sub report, which mean I have to go in and manually move the sub
report further down.
Is there a way to "auto size" sub reports, so that
when there is a lot of data, they display without covering text in the next sub
report below?
Any help would be very much appriciated.
Kind regards,
Iain.

Hi ... I found the easiest way around this is to add a page break at the end of each sub report , this does create a few extra blank pages on your report , but at least you don't get two headers on one page. have fun

Thanks for the reply.
This does not seem to be an option in the "Report footer", "New page after" is greyed out.
I have six sub reports in the "Report footer".
Any ideas?

create 6 report footer sections and place each subreport on the its own footer section. the secion will expand and contract per report so they never overlap.

How do you add an additional footer section?

in design mode point your curser at the RF section label (all the way to the left of the screen)
single right click
select "insert section below"
repeat as needed Edited by DBlank - 27 Sep 2011 at 4:07am
